Local Entrepreneur Opens Recruiting and Staffing Office to Meet Local Labor Demand
BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Spherion Staffing and Recruiting (Spherion) announced today it will open a new office to serve manufacturing, warehouse, project management, and other clerical hiring needs in the Northwest Arkansas region, as well as the Fort Smith River Valley and Southwest Missouri areas.
The new franchise owners, Tye, Paula, and Phil Parker, bring a wealth of staffing and relationship-building experience to the area’s burgeoning business community.
“This region is a hub of light industrial and retail activity,” the Parkers stated. With our team’s combined experience and knowledge of the local community, we know that now is the perfect time to take advantage of Spherion’s support and go into business for ourselves. There are industry-leading companies in the area in addition to the companies who support them. These, along with several other educational institutions, entrepreneurial businesses, and everything in between, need full-time and temporary workers to fill the consumer demand. We know we can help to fill these needs–for the candidates as well as the clients.”
Prior to opening their Spherion office, Paula grew a successful real estate business in Northwest Arkansas and Florida's Emerald Coast which she will continue to operate. Tye built a successful sales career in the IT industry through various sales and leadership roles with Fortune 100 companies. Tye is also a Veteran and Colonel still serving in the Arkansas Army National Guard as the Brigade Commander of the 142nd Field Artillery Brigade.
Tye’s brother, Phil, an Army National Guard veteran, has spent over a decade in various IT leadership roles with large organizations. He will leverage this experience along with his knowledge built by working with staffing agencies and for a staffing agency, to fill permanent placement, contract, contract-to-hire, and project-based roles throughout Northwest Arkansas, and its surrounding communities.
Tye and Phil will lead the office’s sales charge, with Phil also overseeing the day-to-day operations. Meanwhile, Paula will focus on marketing and social media efforts. The trio also plans to further establish themselves in the community by becoming members of several local businesses and charitable organizations.
“We look forward to supporting the launch of the Parkers’ new office serving hundreds of job seekers and businesses in Northwest Arkansas,” said Rebecca Rogers Tijerino, Spherion group president. “Tye, Paula and Phil are the true embodiment of the types of franchise owners we’re looking to grow Spherion with to build careers, grow businesses and better the communities in Northwest Arkansas., and we know they will be successful in this endeavor.”
