Recognizing Local Impact: Staffing and Recruiting Firm Honored for Outstanding Community Contributions

NAPLES, Fla. – Spherion Staffing & Recruiting (Spherion) Naples is honored to be named the Business of the Quarter by the Collier County Government and Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce. Presented during the Collier County Board of County Commissioners meeting on December 10, 2024, this award recognizes Spherion’s impactful contributions to the Naples community through financial support, volunteerism and local initiatives.

Denise Serdahl, area manager at Spherion Naples, leads the office’s community outreach efforts. Her passion for giving back and a decade of service with the Bonita Springs Collier American Legion, including roles as Auxiliary President, Membership Chair, Education Chair and Children and Youth Education Chairman, reflects her commitment to strengthening the Naples community.

“Our professional connections made at Spherion and our relationship with the chamber of commerce have empowered us to understand the wants and needs of our community,” said Serdahl. “I couldn’t be prouder of our office’s dedication to making a positive impact in Collier County and feel honored to accept this award. I hope this will open new doors to even more connections.”

Spherion Naples demonstrates the power of local through a range of initiatives, including supply drives, relief efforts, and volunteering at the local food bank. The office hosts an annual backpack and supply giveaway for Osceola Elementary, providing backpacks filled with school supplies, snacks and more to help students succeed. Additionally, Spherion Naples donates $1,000 each year to a local charity. Recent contributions have supported the Harry Chapin Food Bank and Beverly’s Angels.

Miller’s leadership extends to Spherion’s Sandy Mazur Excellence in Leadership scholarship, an annual award that supports local students in pursuing higher education. This scholarship reflects Spherion’s ongoing commitment to fostering future leaders and reinforcing the strength of the Naples community through education and opportunity.

Spherion will be recognized again at the Wake Up Naples event on February 12, 2025, and plans to further showcase its community-driven initiatives and impactful work.
