PERRYSBURG, Ohio – Spherion Staffing and Recruiting (Spherion), a trusted workforce partner with a 60-year presence in Ohio, has expanded in Northwest Ohio with the opening of a new office in Perrysburg, bringing its staffing expertise to the greater Toledo market. The office is led by longtime Spherion franchise owners Tom and Elizabeth Pentenburg, who bring more than 25 years of staffing experience and a strong family legacy of service to the region.

Tom and Elizabeth have been part of the Spherion franchise system since 2009, building a proven track record of helping employers and job seekers across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. The Toledo office formally adds Lucas County to their franchise territory, further extending their expertise and reinforcing Spherion’s long-standing impact on Ohio’s economy. Working alongside their children, who are actively involved in the business, the Pentenburgs exemplify Spherion’s family-driven, community-focused values. This expansion follows their recent acquisition of two offices in Elkhart and South Bend, Indiana and underscores the family’s continued commitment to growth and to connecting with more communities and job seekers across the region.

The Pentenburgs’ Dayton office has also seen recent growth in direct hire and professional placements, from office clerical roles to C-suite leadership positions. They anticipate similar workforce needs in Toledo’s diverse labor market.

The Pentenburgs are also excited to introduce Kristin Walters as the new Business Development Manager for the Toledo office.
