The Orange Vault is Closed—For Now

If I win, how do I get paid?  

If you win one of the prizes, you will be notified by email, text, and/or phone call. Your eligibility will be confirmed by your local Spherion office. Then the winning amount will be added to an upcoming paycheck the same week as when the prize is announced.

Do I have to pay taxes on my winnings?

Yes, but Spherion will provide an additional amount to your paycheck, called a tax gross-up, which will cover the taxes you must pay on your prize. You will still need to report your winnings as income.

What if I stop working during the campaign? Am I still eligible to win cash?

No. If you stop working for Spherion at any point during the campaign, which ends on September 15th, you will no longer be eligible to receive cash prizes. Spherion temporary employees on active assignment or actively working on assignment with a client must be in good standing at the time of scheduled award presentation/delivery. 

Does this cost me anything above what I am paying Spherion currently?

No, absolutely not. This is an initiative that is entirely funded by the Spherion national marketing fund and is one of the many ways we do whatever it takes to help you retain the best team.

What if one of my employees is underperforming or not showing up?

Only employees that remain in good standing are eligible to win. This means that someone must be employed and not under investigation for any improper conduct, included in a performance improvement plan, or deemed to have excessive absenteeism or tardiness exceeding established limits. 

Can I promote The 2023 Orange Vault?

Yes! We have flyers, posters and social media posts for you to share. The more we spread the word, the more successful The 2023 Orange Vault campaign will be. 

What if someone wins and can’t afford the taxes on the cash prizes?

Spherion will pay for the tax on all winnings based on the local tax rate where they officially reside in order to offset the cost of any tax burden.

How many prizes are there? 

1 grand prize of $10,000. 

Weekly local cash prizes: 3 winners in every office & on-site during the 4-week campaign. One winner will receive a $100 prize, one will receive $200, and one will receive $300. 

Spherion will give away $142,600 total in prizes across 221 offices.
