This position is responsible for providing support to the overall development activities for mass production startup based on the client, internal, and manufacturing requirements. The Technician II will work closely with Engineers to produce prototype parts, test technical products, and report problems or failures in an attempt to improve or perfect the product.
Shift: 1st Mon-Fri 8AM - 4:40PM
Pay: $21 - $24/hr

Experience needed:
- 2-5 years
Education:
- Associates degree in robotics, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or related field
- Trade School or equivalent welding certification
Responsibilities:
The Technician II will develop weldments for automotive suspensions and associated linkages.
Will set up, program and operate robotic welders, perform quality assurance on incoming products as well as on your own finished products.
Capable of providing technical expertise to ensure product quality.
Responsible for troubleshooting systems, performing preventative and predictive maintenance on systems to minimize downtime, while keeping safety as a priority.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

- Well-developed technical communication skills as well as a strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications:
- Set up and operate spot welders, robotic welding cells, hand mig weld, machining equipment, lathes, band saws, bushing presses, stamping presses, and related machining equipment for prototype builds.
- Assist engineers in the design, production, and assembly of complex welding jigs.
- Ability to set-up, program, and operate robotic welding equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, and interpret weld diagrams and symbols
- Shipping, receiving, and manual labor assistance, as needed
