The Disaster Relief Warehouse Specialist will perform general warehouse duties and assist in the inventory and distribution of all products, incoming and outgoing products received and distributed from the warehouse facility. This includes the physical handling of product, rotation of stock, inspection of boxes and operation of material handling equipment. The Warehouse Associate will also assist in the maintenance of the warehouse as stipulated by Safety and Sanitation guidelines. This position requires accurate record-keeping and interaction with the public and with other staff members.
Responsibilities:
*Pull agency orders quickly and accurately
*Unload incoming trucks as required. Weigh and verify all products being received and distributed
*Responsible for maintaining warehouse cleanliness, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, sanitation, etc.
*Maintain all assigned food safety logs
*Assign product code(s) to incoming products not previously established in computer system
*Verify paperwork associated with all incoming and outgoing transactions
*Label all stock in accordance with inventory control procedures
*Ensure proper inspection, handling, storage, and distribution of all inventories in accordance with Safe Food Handling, OSHA, Feeding America (FA), Florida Association of Food Banks (FAFB)
*Assist with physical inventory of products
*Maintain proper storage separation of food and non-food items
*Ensure proper FIFO rotation of products
*Maintain distribution area stocked with perishables and frozen products available for distribution
*Participate in the implementation of Sanitation & Safety Guidelines and Standards
*Make deliveries (Will be only upto 20% of your shift).
*Safely operate non-CDL vehicles such as vans or box trucks to transport food and donations to multiple agencies, shelters, and distribution points.
*Pick up donations or products as required and deliver them promptly to designated locations.
*Load and unload food and supplies, ensuring that all items are handled safely and securely.
*Ensure all deliveries are completed in a timely manner, adhering to the established routes and schedules.
*Maintain accurate mileage logs and delivery records, including documentation for USDA product delivery.
*Follow all food safety regulations and procedures when handling and transporting perishable goods, including taking and recording temperatures.
*Perform routine pre- and post-trip inspections, checking fuel, oil, fluids, tire pressure, and other vehicle essentials.
*Ensure vehicles are kept clean and well-maintained both inside and out, including removing trash and debris after each shift

Pallet Jack or Forklift driving RECENT experience

MUST BE ABLE to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
