Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws and regulations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with recruiters and temporary staffing agencies.
Manage compensation plans, employee benefits programs, and payroll processing (ADP).
Develop and implement succession planning strategies for exempt and non-exempt levels.
Lead recruitment and talent acquisition efforts.
Oversee employee induction, onboarding, and employee file administration.
Design and implement training, onboarding, and development programs.
Facilitate employee performance reviews.
Address employee relations issues and resolve conflicts effectively.
Provide support for change management initiatives.
Ensure meticulous organization of employee records and HR processes.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Skills:
Spanish-speaking abilities.
Experience in freight forwarding, transportation, or warehousing industries.
Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years of broad HR experience in multiple functional areas.
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Residence in New Jersey.
Ability to work onsite in Secaucus and East Hanover locations.
