- Scheduling deliveries and ensuring delivery times and appointments are met.- Utilize electronic dispatching software to assist with dispatch and monitor the fleet.- Accurately assigning drivers enduring they are able to fully utilize their allotted 10 hours of drive time/14 on duty time for up to 15-20 trucks daily.- Provide excellent customer service when talking with job foremen, general public to ensure efficient fleet operation.- Handling all aspects of the sales/delivery process once order is generated by Sales team.- Managing projects through customer communication of timelines, and shipment of product.- Managing entry of order customer contact information and customer delivery dates in the database/ERP system.- Identifying the schedule for scheduling and delivery phases of the project and making sure the customers needs are met at all times.- Notifying sales and/or the customer immediately of delays caused by others.- Work together with Quality Control to certify pipe for Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Virginia.
1-4 years
- Prior yard jockey and / or tractor trailer driving experience is highly preferred
- Must have tractor trailer dispatching experience - Ability to pass the onboarding process (drug screening, 7-year background check, and onboarding forms) - Clean driving record - Efficiently utilize computer's and internal company dispatching, sales, and ERP systems- Ability to successfully cross-train in several areas- Experience in route planning and fleet management.
