- Set up and operation of automatic or semi-automatic centerless grinders, surface grinders, lathes, and lappers as required.
- Operation of testing or data collection stations used in the production to verify produced parts are within the specifications.
- May be responsible for actions such as feeding materials for processing, adjusting settings, performing minor repairs, and pulling finished product from the line.
- Works from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks.
- Checks and inspects operation against predetermined tolerances.
- Monitoring and performing first level maintenance of shop equipment and machinery.
- Setting up manufacturing equipment to specifications on router or on drawing.
- Running machines to complete assigned tasks.
- Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment.
- Performing data collection using micrometers and other measurement tools as specified in processes.
- Performing adjustments as needed.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent employment experience
- 2-3 years experience operating of automatic or semi-automatic centerless grinders, surface grinders, lathes, and lappers
- 1-2 years experience setting up automatic or semi-automatic centerless grinders, surface grinders, lathes, and lappers
- Ability to run machines to complete tasks
- Must have the ability to train days and switch to 2nd shift once fully trained.
- Ability to read micrometers
- Ability to keep work area clean and organized
- Experience with reading drawings to interpret proper machine set up
- Ability to monitor and maintain equipment and machinery
- Experience with performing routine first level inspections of manufacturing equipment
- Experience with performing data collection as specified in process, making adjustments as
needed
- Basic computer skills are required
