If so, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for! Our client, a local and reputable accounting firm, is in need of an experienced Tax Accountant (5+ years experience) to join their accounting team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
This position is ideal for someone with experience in the tax or an accounting-related field and would like to avoid the burnout from working demanding hours during busy season.
The candidate will utilize varying software programs, including the Microsoft Office suite, Axcess Tax, CCH Workflow, Pfx Engagement, and CCH Tax Research. Prior experience with this software is a plus.
Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
Conduct financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations.
Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting functions for various clients.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
Assist clients with accounting software and systems implementations.
Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional client service.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting practices.

Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with QuickBooks, Lacerte, and other accounting software is a plus.

Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standing.
An Associates or Bachelor?s degree with a focus in Accounting or a related subject from an accredited university or college is required.
Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in public accounting.
