We are a leading Silicon Valley electrical contractor with an immediate opening for a Senior Electrical Estimator. The ideal candidate has a background in electrical construction with a strong understanding of the entire bid process. This is a dynamic, hands-on position where you will oversee the bidding process for multi-family residential projects, including apartments, schools, and hospitals while mentoring a small team of estimators.

Responsibilities:
Read and interpret plans, scope of work, and bid documents for electrical projects, primarily focusing on multi-family homes and apartment complexes, (open to candidates with bckg in schools and hospitals)
Prepare onscreen takeoffs and provide accurate pricing/breakdowns for electrical systems.
Independently produce high-quality, detailed, and accurate estimates for electrical construction projects.
Provide breakouts, clarifications, and additional pricing as needed to ensure clarity and accuracy in bids.
Manage the quotation/bidding process, maintain bid logs, job calendars, and project job folders.
Oversee the design stage of design/build projects, ensuring that all estimates align with project specifications and timelines.
Manage a small team (2-3 estimators), providing guidance and oversight to ensure high standards of work.
Transition projects awarded to the General Manager and/or Project Managers to ensure smooth project initiation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and stakeholders.
Proactively seek out new bidding opportunities and expand the customer base through networking and business development.
Develop and train junior estimators to help grow the team and ensure accurate estimates.
Occasional local travel to project sites to assess scope of work and gather on-site information.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in electrical estimating, with a focus on multi-family homes, apartment complexes, schools, or hospitals.
Solid understanding of pricing, bidding, and electrical construction methods.
Familiarity with Accubid and Live Count software is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
