RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operation and knowledge of Beverage/Battery finishing equipment (die-cutting, slitting, etc.) is a PLUS.
Responsible for machine set up as well as preventative maintenance and repairs.
Must have Slitter Machine Operator experience, and can acquire knowledge to operate department machinery such as slitting, rewinding, inspection, core cutter, etc., as needed.
MUST understand computers/inventory management systems to get transactions done.
Produce quality product according to standard operating procedures and ISO work instructions and quality policies.
Complete introductory training to include hazardous waste regulations, duties, and responsibilities. Participate in annual refresher of hazardous waste training consistent with "Annual Hazardous Waste Training Class". Training to be provided by a person trained in hazardous waste management.
Meet production schedules and throughput yield requirements and expectations.
Contribute to overall team effort to meet customer demands.
Maintain high standard of housekeeping, keeping floors and equipment clean and work area orderly.
Be willing to accept flexible work schedule to meet production/customer requirements.
Responsible for dispositioning of rolls in the SMART system and producing error free transactions.
Work as a part of team responsible for machine preventive maintenance, 5S, housekeeping and safety.
Operation of equipment while adhering to all guidelines relating to safe working conditions for self and co-workers.
Escalate schedule, safety, quality, scrap or any other production issues to the cell lead or manager immediately.
Direct self in manner that exemplifies positive attitude and focuses on meeting team goals.
Attend all required training sessions and actively participate on plant teams.
Meet with on-coming shift to communicate issues, problems, schedule, etc.
Use troubleshooting skills to logically identify machine issue root causes.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Acceptable mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic math functions (must obtain passing score of Tech III on skills assessment).
Good troubleshooting skills.
Reliable ??? good attendance and safety record; values and holds self to high standards.
Good computer skills ??? Experience with accurate data entry and understanding shop floor data systems.
Ability to perform lifting of 25-40 pounds.
Ability to move 41-125 pounds using proper moving equipment.
Demonstrated aptitude to operate production machinery.
Flexible ??? willing to work overtime, when and where needed.
Strong communication and team skills: Ability to work well with others and willing to share knowledge through training.
