Our organization operates on jobsites in all 50 states, four U.S. territories, and internationally based on awarded contracts. Technicians are required to travel to jobsites as assigned to perform installations of security systems. This position is 95-100% travel. All travel related expenses are covered including lodging, airfare, vehicle expenses and transportation.
Essential Duties
Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, floors, and other areas as required. Examine systems to locate problems such as loose connections or broken insulation.
Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets, then position and terminate cables, wires, and strapping.
Cut, connect, and bend electrical conduit.
Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures have been met.
Install, maintain, or repair security systems, alarm devices, and related equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.
Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, and video cameras, and attach electrical and telephone wiring in order to connect components.
Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security features in order to ensure proper functioning, and to diagnose malfunctions.
Identifies, troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, and network related problems encountered by end-users of the network. Has a clear understanding of IPV4 and how to assign a computer an IP address.
Keep informed of new products and developments. Request orders for replacement parts.
Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.
Extensive travel is required for this position. All expenses are paid for or reimbursed by the company.

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Valid driver's license and real ID following May 7th, 2025
-2 years of intermediate experience with, access control installation, intrusion detection, and/or video surveillance installation
-Ability to travel 95% of the time
-Installation experience with Bosch, Elk, and Gallagher systems
