You will perform specific exams and procedures utilizing specialized skills and techniques, while under the supervision of a physician.

Position is full time with variable shift days/working hours.
Shift schedule will be variable dependent upon hospital facility location and business needs.
Job sites include Daytona Beach, Port Orange and Deltona, FL.
Minimum requirement of 1 on call shift a month.

Responsibilities:
Perform complex multidisciplinary imaging studies including CT, MRI and X-Ray.
Manage patient scheduling, answering questions and assisting with patient scheduling needs.
Conduct patient care evaluation and assessment, completing medical history and assessment of condition with all information documented and properly maintained.
Prepare patients for exams by explaining the procedure and answering questions.
Venipuncture is performed for administration of contrast and medications in accordance to the parameters established by the department.
Position patients correctly and safely for scanning procedures.
Portable examinations are performed in surgery or patient rooms in an effective and efficient manner.
Monitor patients throughout the procedure to ensure safety and comfort.
Produce procedure documentation utilizing all imaging equipment and appropriately place for the Radiologist???s interpretation.
Follow radiation safety guidelines to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
Assist in maintaining imaging equipment in proper working order.
Ensure patient records are maintained in accordance with department standards.
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Work collaboratively with other members of the radiology team to ensure quality patient care.
Conduct clinical teaching and image critique, and observe new technologists in clinical education, as needed.
Attend departmental meetings as required and participate in developmental or continuing education meetings to maintain and improve skills.
Continually update education as required for National, State and professional certification.
Other duties as assigned.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, medical terminology, and radiation protection principles.
Ability to operate complex medical imaging equipment safely and accurately.
Skilled in providing care for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Experience with the PACS system preferred.
Ability to identify and respond to emergency situations and make independent decisions.
Adaptability to constantly changing imaging scenarios.
Attention to detail, organized.
Excellent communication skills with patients and other healthcare professionals.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Mechanical aptitude with the operation of imaging equipment.

Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Required to be a graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or regionally accredited and approved School of Radiologic Technology.
1+ years??? experience working in the Radiologic Technology Sciences and/or area of specialization required.
Previous experience in more than one modality.
Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in more than one modality.
Must be licensed by the State of Florida to operate ionizing and non-ionizing imaging equipment according to MQA, Joint Commission, and ALARA standards.
