The Quality Inspector is responsible for the inspection/testing of assembled radios, accessories and supplier incoming material as well as documenting product/component defects, data collection and reporting. The QA Inspector will work closely with the QA Manager to provide accurate reporting, charts, graphs etc. to monitor and improve product quality. The successful candidate must have the ability to work quickly and efficiently with a high level of precision, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detailed oriented, have the ability to work independently, and be flexible to rapidly changing conditions.
Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
o Inspection and testing of incoming/raw materials, sub-assemblies, and components
o Inspection of sub-assemblies and finished product for form, fit and function in accordance to engineering drawings, work instructions and procedures
o Ability to read and understand drawings, test procedures and work instructions
o Ability to use mechanical measurement tools.
o Ensure that non-conforming material is identified, segregated and reported
o Provide daily reports and input to assist in quality improvement activities
o Drive objectives and make judgment calls with safety, quality always in mind

o Strong Excel, Access, MS Word, Power Point, skills required
o Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills
o Good analytical skills
o Very detail-oriented, accurate and organized
o Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
o Able to work independently and as part of a team
o Confidentiality and Time Management skills
o Experience with product cosmetic appearance and material cleanliness ? color, texture, FOD presence, machine/tool residue
o Desirable/optional experience: IPC600 family, GD&T, ISO9000 family
Qualifications:
o Previous visual inspection and testing experience with the ability to use test and measuring equipment.
o Ability to read and interpret basic operating procedures, BOMs, and work instructions.
o Ability to complete visual inspection of raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished product
o Strong written and oral communication skills.
o Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
o Good vision and/or corrected vision with ability to use micro-scopes and other visual aids.
o Work independently and be flexible to rapidly changing conditions.
