Responsibilities:
-Perform First Article Inspections (FAI): Ensure that initial parts meet all design and engineering specifications before full-scale production begins.
-Conduct Visual and Mechanical Inspections: Inspect materials and components for close tolerance adherence using precision measurement tools and equipment.
-Utilize Precision Measurement Tools: Operate and maintain Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Comparators, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Digital Optical Comparators, Microscopes, Starrett Gauges, Thread Gauges, and
Multimeters.
-Interpret Technical Documentation: Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to guide inspection processes and ensure parts conform to specifications.
-Apply Geometric Tolerancing: Utilize knowledge of geometric tolerancing to perform accurate inspections and verify that parts meet dimensional and functional requirements.
-Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure all inspections and tests align with applicable quality requirements and industry standards.
-Document Findings: Record inspection results, deviations, and non-conformities in a clear and detailed manner. Provide reports and feedback to engineering and production teams as needed.
-Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to address and resolve quality issues and improve processes.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Skills:
-Ability to work in a team environment
-Past experience working in an electronics facility preferred, but not required
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
-High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, and two years of related work experience.
-Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access.
-Experience using a microscope, preferred.
-Experience using various measuring tools including, but not limited to, micrometer, caliper, tool scope, snap gauge, and scales preferred.
-Experience reading and interpreting documents such as policies, procedures, drawings, and other materials related to the position.
-Ability to interpret dimensional requirements on drawings and specifications.
-General understanding of Statistical Process Control
