- Knows and follows safety rules; knows how to stop the machine in case of emergency. - Keeps the work environment around the assembly line clean, neat, and orderly. - Properly calibrates and operates manual scales for verification of finished product. - Collects finished product from the wrapper machine in specific quantities depending on the job and intermittently inspects for quality, correct material, visual defects, and proper sealing. - Places inspected packs (by quantity specified) into specified packaging containers for final or future pack out in accordance with verbal instructions from the Operator or Line Lead. - Feeds properly packed and inspected displays into shrink wrap machine for packaging per job instructions. - Visually inspects shrink wrapped displays for defects and performs rework as necessary. - Weighs product to ensure proper quantity in display or box. - Properly labels and loads finished product on shipping pallets per job configuration instructions for transport to shipping. - Assists with correcting very basic mechanical problems. - Notifies operator/ line lead and supervision if non-conforming material (including packaging material) is discovered. - Notifies operator / line lead and supervision if maintenance is needed on equipment. - Understands and adheres to quality standards and procedures and Company recycling program. - Observes established safe working and housekeeping procedures; promptly corrects hazardous situations. - Follows all company policies, security protocols & procedures, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and ISO requirements. - Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. - May be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed
