Aid in the design and manufacture of engineered products. Develop designs to satisfy customer needs while considering factors such as strength, weight, cost of materials, corrosion and other recommendations to ensure customer satisfaction.Promote Pipe Products by assisting in writing Ford Meter Box specifications and gathering information on forthcoming construction projects through calls to water utilities, consulting engineers and authorized distributors. Develop a high level understanding of FMB product application and provide opinions on production application suitability. Confers with producers of materials such as metals, ceramics, or polymers during investigation and evaluation of materials suitable for specific product applications. Reviews product failure data and interprets laboratory tests to establish or rule out material and process causes. Provide training for the sales team and customers for FMB products and applications related to Treatment Plant supply and operation. Reviews customer specifications to provide the correct product and cost to meet their needs, including answering any questions that they may have on the product. Designs may need to be conveyed to the customer with a submittal/drawing.Travel, including international, to meet with customers, industry trade shows and troubleshoot field issues.
