Sets up and operates multi-unit web press to print business forms from written specifications.
Looking for someone to be able to train on 1st shift and work on 2nd shift after training 3pm-11pm

Responsibilities:
Review specifications and set up equipment that performs printing from web rolls to sheets or web rolls specific to the customer's requirements.

Check copy against proof or customer copy to ensure accuracy.
Inspect printed material visually during run and make any adjustments needed.
Equipment operated may perform functions related to perforations, punching and numbering.
Mount printing plates on cylinders and set ink accordingly.
Perform safety inspections, document problems and track production during operation.
General knowledge of web presses to perform the full range of standard and specialized printing of printed materials.
Working hours: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Skills:
--Thorough knowledge of the set up, operating requirements, procedures, capabilities and limitations of the web press to create printed products.
--Ability to read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications containing printing requirements which indicate the complete the work and to maintain dimensional accuracy in accordance with instructions provided.
--Knowledge of the quality and machining requirements of various coated and uncoated types of paper stock.
--Skill in setting up and adjusting machines for printing operations and to refine such adjustments for the weight, color, tension and compensators during the operation of the press.
--Skill in using the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the functional accuracy and operating conditions of the web presses.
Education:
No Degree Required
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Gather supplies and prepare for upcoming orders while web press is running.
Help identify areas for cost savings and process improvement.
Perform other duties as determined by management.
Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs from a squatting position and able to move and position mill rolls of paper to mount on press weighing up to 600 lbs.
Hearing protection required constantly.
Must be able to stand 8-10 hours continuously.
Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Reasoning.
Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in or from standardized situations.
Mathematics.
Able to read, copy and record figures.
May involve simple addition and subtraction.
Must possess basic math skills.
Reading.
Must possess basic reading and writing skills.
Able to work independently and/or as part of a team.
Have sufficient knowledge of safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe environment for self and others
Must be able to read a ruler.
Communicate well with other departments.
