As a Packaging Technician, you will be responsible for safely and accurately packaging precision optical products and components. You'll play a key role in maintaining quality and efficiency while ensuring products are properly labeled, protected, and kitted for shipment. This position is part of a collaborative team that is charged with various stages of the assembly process, with opportunities to learn and grow.
Responsibilities:
- Package assembled products and components with attention to detail and product care
- Label and kit items accurately according to product specifications
- Follow GMP and ISO procedures throughout all packaging steps
- Maintain clean and organized workstations
- Assist in other production areas as needed (e.g., detailing, laser engraving, tray kitting)
- Participate in routine preventative maintenance and team improvement efforts
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs frequently
- Willingness to work overtime during the week and on weekends as needed
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or packaging roles
- Previous experience with medical devices, optical products, or diagnostic equipment is a plus
