Spherion of Madison is seeking to hire an Outreach Project Coordinator in the Department of Health Services, Bureau of Aging and Disability Resources

- This position works under the general supervision of the ADRC Program and Policy Unit Supervisor.
- This is a limited term position to support a project through March 14, 2025. The purpose of the project is to enhance outreach efforts to Wisconsin residents regarding the services that are available through aging and disability resource centers (ADRCs). This position will assist with administrative duties related to contract administration and grant management and will coordinate with state staff, network partners, and community stakeholders to accomplish the goals of the project.
- Partner agencies with whom this position will collaborate include Area Agencies on Aging, Aging and Disability Resource Centers, county Aging Units, Disability Rights Wisconsin, and the Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee contract with a marketing firm to increase public awareness of ADRCs.
- Meet weekly with the contractor to ensure that the products created by the vendor meet DHS needs with regards to:
- Use of data to inform targeted outreach efforts
- Use of health equity tools and frameworks to inform resource creation
- Materials for online outreach, such as templates for social media
- Use of best practices for reaching rural and isolated individuals who have limited access to technology
- Coordinate subgrants to local ADRCs to support marketing and outreach campaign activities statewide.
- Provide technical assistance to local agencies regarding allowable uses of funding
- Collect and review information about local agency usage of grant funds
- Provide grant program updates, including reminders of reporting deadlines and status updates on achievements
- Update DHS publications about ADRCs
- Work in consultation with DHS communications leads to update state publications and websites with the current ADRC logo and tagline

- Considerable knowledge and skill in grant management procedures and techniques
- Thorough knowledge and skill in methods of working effectively with others across organizational boundaries, within teams, and among colleagues
- Considerable interpersonal skills to appropriately motivate, influence, and persuade, to forge cooperative working relationships, to provide leadership in problem solving, and helping diverse organizations and groups develop strategies for accomplishing goals
- Considerable skill in verbal communication to individuals and groups to provide program, technical assistance, and reporting information and guidance
- Knowledge of communication strategies to promote health equity
- Experience working with contractors to develop and implement marketing and outreach activities
- Knowledge of the Wisconsin human service delivery system for older adults and adults with disabilities, including the roles and relationships among state agencies, county government agencies, and community service providers
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
