We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Ocean Import Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in freight forwarding, logistics, and ocean import processes. This role requires proficiency in Cargowise software and fluency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with overseas agents and customers. The Ocean Import Coordinator will be responsible for handling documentation, maintaining communication with clients and vendors, and ensuring a smooth import process while maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities:
Handle documentation and ensure accurate filing of all import-related documents HBL, MBL, ISF, P/L, C/I, 3461, 7501 ABI, etc
Perform credit checks on files and escalate issues when needed.
Submit Customs Clearance to the brokerage team at least five days before arrival.
Respond to emails promptly, providing import status updates to overseas agents and customers at least two days before arrival.
Assist customers with arrival notifications, clearance, and scheduling deliveries.
Communicate professionally via email, phone, and fax.
Ensure BOLs are surrendered and original documentation requirements are met.
Request competitive delivery rates, update schedules, and maintain current quotes and communication with carriers/vendors.
Ensure invoices are completed and sent to customers within five days of delivery.
Update cost and sell rates in the system, maximizing profitability while being cost-conscious.
Monitor requests, confirm invoices and A/N, and resolve customer issues independently.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience working in logistics, freight forwarding, or distribution.
Familiarity with customs clearance procedures.

1-4 years
Qualifications:
Minimum two years of experience in freight forwarding and ocean import logistics.
Knowledge of ocean import processes and documentation.
Experience with Cargowise software
Fluent in Mandarin
