Spherion is hiring an Area Manager for our client in Indianapolis!
This position will focus on leading a team of 20 Drivers and coordinating dispatch, routing, and tracking activities.

Management of a team of up to 20 non-emergency transportation drivers.
Management of routing, tracking of transportation vehicles, and fleet staff.
Collaboration with fleet staff to formulate and implement transportation-related procedures, company revenue goals and customer service objectives.
Ensuring all vehicles are compliant to state laws.
Training and developing drivers to ensure proper knowledge and execution of safety-related policies.
Coordination of routine maintenance on all non-emergency vehicles.
Coaching and development of teams.
Assessing driver's day-to-day schedules.
Coordination of driver's, fleet staff, and dispatcher's schedules.
Support of dispatch team.
Tracking of driver's hours.
Fill roles where needed.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Two or more years of experience in a management role.
Experience in the Transportation industry.
Experience in a Logistics setting.
Experience using transportation logistics software.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years

Valid Driver's License
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
