Spherion is seeking a passionate Migrant Farmworker Advocacy Director for a distinguished legal agency in Fort Myers, FL.
This pivotal position focuses on delivering comprehensive services to migrant farmworkers and their families across Florida.

Provide legal representation to farmworker clients on issues such as wage theft, discrimination, housing disputes, labor trafficking, labor-based U-visas, and unemployment.
Direct and enhance litigation efforts within the Migrant Farmworker's unit while co-counseling cases across Florida and other states.
Develop and implement a strategic advocacy plan to address farmworker legal needs effectively.
Lead outreach initiatives throughout Florida and other states to build awareness and provide access to legal resources.
Train and supervise the Migrant Farmworker unit staff.
Stay informed on current legal developments in farmworker and related laws by attending trainings and workshops.
Client Advocacy: Conduct client interviews, certify eligibility, and provide legal assistance through advice, referrals, and direct representation.
Working hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Legal Server software.
Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Education:
Doctorate
Experience:
7-10 years
Qualifications:
Barred in Florida required.
Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school.
Eight to Ten years of experience representing Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers.
Must be able to work weekends and travel when needed.
