Responsibilities:
Member Support and Communication:
- Respond to member and employer inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Guide members through retirement and investment program processes, including enrollment, contributions, distributions, and tax requirements.
- Explain plan rules and IRS guidelines regarding contributions, rollovers, and distributions.
Information and Transaction Management:
- Verify and accurately process member transactions including contributions, distributions, beneficiary updates, and account changes.
- Maintain updated member information in internal systems.
- Ensure proper documentation and resolve any discrepancies related to contributions or withdrawals.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Assist with annual tax reporting, including verifying the accuracy of Forms 1099-R and 5498.
- Calculate contribution limits and identify excess contributions according to IRS guidelines.
- Support employer plan administration, including remittance processing and vendor management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- Experience using systems such as Vision/Stingray, Newport Group/AWD, Image Silo, and CORE preferred
- Minimum 1 year of professional Customer Service experience
- Prior experience in retirement services, financial services, or member support environments
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and organize information accurately.
- Strong computer navigation and data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Team-oriented with flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
