Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs
Verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations or referrals
Collect co-pays, process payments, and balance daily transactions
Maintain and update patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Ensure that all forms, documentation, and patient information are completed accurately and promptly
Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other staff to facilitate efficient patient flow
Respond to inquiries and resolve routine issues related to appointments, billing, and office procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and insurance protocols
Proficiency with EMR systems and general office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in medical administration is a plus
Minimum of 1?2 years of experience in a medical or healthcare office preferred
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a dynamic environment
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to sit, stand, and use office equipment for extended periods
Occasional lifting of office supplies or patient files up to 25 lbs
