We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller and Coder to join our busy medical office in the South Denver area. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience and will be responsible for accurately processing medical billing and coding to ensure timely reimbursement from insurance companies and patients.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities of the Medical Biller and Coder:
Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient records based on documentation provided by healthcare providers.
Review and verify patient billing information for accuracy and completeness.
Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid claims.
Handle patient billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
Process payments and post transactions to patient accounts.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing and coding guidelines and insurance policies.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to resolve billing issues.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience in medical billing and coding.
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing and coding preferred.
Proficiency in medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance guidelines.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
