You will work closely with patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit, while assisting medical staff in the delivery of high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for examination and assist with diagnostic procedures.
Take and record patient histories and vital signs (e.g., temperature, blood pressure, weight).
Assist with basic laboratory testing and prepare samples.
Administer medications or vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers.
Assist in performing various medical procedures (e.g., EKGs, injections, wound care).
Sterilize and maintain medical equipment.
Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits.
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
Manage office supplies and maintain inventory.
Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers.
Prepare and submit insurance claims and manage billing processes.
Provide compassionate care and ensure patients' comfort during appointments.
Educate patients on prescribed treatments, medications, and follow-up care.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Completion of a Medical Assistant training program (required).

Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
