Responsibilities:
- Study blueprints and layouts to visualize machining requirements and plan the sequence of operations.
- Position and secure workpieces manually or using a hoist, ensuring accurate alignment for machining tasks.
- Select appropriate feed rates, cutting speeds, depths of cut, and tools such as bar tools, rotary cutters, or abrasive wheels.
- Operate machinery by setting feeds, speeds, and coolant flows, and verify the conformance of machined workpieces to specifications.
- Devise and maintain preventive maintenance programs for machine shop tools, air supply systems, lubrication, and coolant systems.
- Collaborate with maintenance mechanics/electricians for troubleshooting, installation, or fabrication of parts and assist in training less experienced machinists.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Skills:
- Degree in Mechatronics or similar field, with a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively.
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, demonstrating adaptability to changing conditions.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and innovative solutions for clamping and machining non-metallic materials.

High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a relevant field or equivalent technical school training, plus up to two years of on-the-job experience.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and technical documents for machining tasks.
- Physical capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform tasks in a loud work environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Adherence to safety protocols, including proper use of safety equipment and understanding of lockout/tagout procedures.
