Responsibilities:
Kitting, bagging, shipping and moving parts.
Good judgment of dimensions for packaging materials and movement.
Proper handling of material handling equipment.
Conduct cycle counts and verify inventory levels throughout the facility.
Specific tasks assigned may require Department of Transportation Shippers Training if the task assigned involves the shipping of hazardous materials. Assumes other projects and responsibilities as directed.
Position reports to Warehouse Supervisor. Primary contacts are all manufacturing, various office
areas, order entry, material planners and purchasing and may have contact with outside vendors and must communicate well at all levels and exhibit effective team skills.
Accountable for daily activities with kitting, picking, packing and shipping materials.
Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be a US Citizen
Able to be exposed to RF devices, chemicals or solvents or high noise levels intermittently.
Agrees to wear PPE per job description and/or tasks regularly.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Slide and relocate boxes regularly. Transfer materials from floor jack to location, or from receiving cart to location. Push carts intermittently. Move materials weighing in excess of 1,000 pounds with floor jack rarely.
Able to climb and balance onto stools or ladders to pick or store inventory regularly.
Able to walk, stoop, kneel to locate and store or pick inventory as required for customer orders. May traverse slippery floors. Positions self to use computer or equipment, or to pick and pack inventory as required regularly.
Able to reach to place and remove inventory at arms length and below, operate material handling equipment such as floor jacks, utility carts, shrink wrapper, uses blister pack and bagging equipment, drafts notes and e-mails, creates/fabricates packaged product, prepares shipping documents, cuts open scrap. Uses wrist, hands, fingers, arms, and shoulders to rotate and manipulate small parts and large boxes regularly.
Able to effectively listen to, converse and communicate with, and express oneself to internal and external customers and others as required per job, in person and on the telephone regularly.
Able to distinguish color, perceive depth, identify and recognize part numbers on pick lists. Inspects inventory for damage. Views computer monitors. Uses close-up, distance, or peripheral vision to view very small parts and fine print on documents regularly.
