A Bay County marina is seeking a Marina Body Shop Manager to join their team! This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity. Shop hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm. The Marina Body Shop Manager will lead and manage all aspects of the body shop operations, specializing in boat repair and fiberglass fabrication. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership to ensure high-quality repairs, refinishing, and modifications for customer boats. While automotive experience may be beneficial, a solid understanding of boat structures and materials (particularly fiberglass) is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and guide body shop technicians, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to timelines.
- Fiberglass Fabrication & Repair: Oversee all fiberglass-related repairs and customizations, ensuring that repairs meet structural and aesthetic standards. Provide guidance on fiberglass techniques and train team members in fiberglass application and finishing.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to provide repair estimates, updates, and detailed explanations of work required.
- Quality Control: Ensure all repairs, refinishing, and fabrications uphold marina standards for safety, durability, and visual appeal.
- Inventory & Supplies: Manage the inventory for fiberglass materials, body parts, and other supplies. Order materials as needed and maintain accurate records.
- Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement procedures to improve workflow, scheduling, and resource utilization, contributing to department profitability.
- Compliance & Safety: Uphold local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations in all aspects of the body shop's operations.
Skills:
- Previous experience in a marina or boat repair facility, with certifications or technical training in marine body repair and fiberglass work.
- Ability to lift, move, and position materials and boat parts as necessary.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in body shop management or marine repair, with experience in fiberglass fabrication and repair. Automotive body shop experience may be useful if combined with boat and some fiberglass knowledge.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and customer service skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with customers, insurance adjusters, and team members.
- Knowledge of fiberglass fabrication, boat repair techniques, and familiarity with body repair software or management systems.
