Our client in the vacuum tank truck industry is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their expanding team. This person will report to the Executive VP - Trucks Division.

Develops and maintains needed systems to drive continuous improvement in areas of
cost, quality, safety, lead time, and use of working capital.
Continually evaluate tools and equipment options that will reduce cost in the operation.
Justify and spend capital in order to take advantage of machinery and equipment that
will improve manufacturing/assembly operations.
Design fixturing/tooling using SolidWorks.
Implement lean manufacturing principles such as visual controls, pull inventory systems,
workplace organization, and continuous improvement.
Provide manufacturing technical support for production operations, which includes
tooling, fixturing and process troubleshooting utilizing existing systems and procedures.
Monitor and correct safety/ergonomic issues.
Develop and organize lean events in multiple manufacturing/assembly facilities.
Work with associates on 5S programs and assist teams in implementation.
Assist with EH&S.
Assist other functional areas as directed.
Participate in verification, review, and implementing torque specifications as well as
high risk part specifications.
Assist in work cell load balancing for all manufacturing areas.
Assist in the PDP (Product Development Process) process. Evaluate new projects for
tooling and equipment needs.
Assist with plant layouts.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering or a related field
- 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
- Very detail oriented
- Aptitude for tracking changes in data and analyzing the data to make recommendations to Management
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization in a 1 on 1, meetings, and
shop floor events
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization in a 1 on 1, meetings, and shop floor events
- Excels at documenting their process and help make improvements to their job through system and process improvements
- Root cause analysis skills
- Ability to take on projects outside their scope of work
- Self-directed to meet the outlined KPIs for the job

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The associate frequently is required to talk or hear. The associate is required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crawl over, under and around equipment. The associate is required to frequently work from a ladder or at heights up to 11 feet off the ground. May be exposed to vibration. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds frequently, move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
