Spherion is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team of a beverage manufacturer in Arden, NC. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial electrical experience, expertise in PLC systems, and familiarity with refrigeration systems, particularly ammonia-based systems. Work Schedule: 10:00 PM-6:30 AM, this position may require overtime hours outside of normal schedule based on business needs.
Pay Rate: $23-$28/hourly Depending on experience & qualifications
Responsibilities:
-Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems in a production environment.
-Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ensuring proper functionality of automated systems.
-Service and repair refrigeration systems, including ammonia-based systems (preferred) and other cooling technologies.
-Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to maximize performance and longevity.
-Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner.
-Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards for electrical, refrigeration, and maintenance operations.
-Assist with emergency repairs and ensure minimal disruption to production schedules.
-Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed.
-Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports of repairs, inspections, and parts inventory.
-High school diploma or equivalent;

Skills:
-Experience with ammonia systems preferred
-Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance or related field is preferred.

Qualifications:
-Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance with a focus on electrical systems and PLC troubleshooting.
-Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
-Experience with refrigeration systems.
-Familiarity with mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
-Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
