Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will take charge of both production and facility maintenance, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the plant. This position is hands-on, with 60% of your time dedicated to direct supervision and technical support, and 40% focused on administrative responsibilities. Your expertise in ERP systems, automation, and leadership will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Maintenance Operations: Direct and oversee all maintenance activities related to production and facility operations, ensuring everything runs efficiently and effectively.
- Leadership: Manage and mentor a skilled maintenance crew, providing real-time support and guidance to address production issues promptly.
- Preventative Maintenance: Utilize ERP systems to schedule, track, and optimize preventative maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.
- Training and Development: Lead training initiatives for maintenance staff, ensuring they are well-equipped with the skills needed to excel in their roles.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the management of spare parts, ensuring timely restocking and availability of critical components.
- Safety and Compliance: Participate actively in the safety team, promoting a safe working environment and adhering to all safety protocols.
- Performance Metrics: Develop, track, and publish key maintenance metrics to drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and reduce downtime.
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of a two-year college degree.
- Experience: At least five years of maintenance experience with a minimum of three years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Strong background in facility maintenance, with expertise in PLC and robotic systems, AC/DC electrical knowledge, and the ability to interpret, create, and modify wiring diagrams. Riveting experience is highly preferred.
- ERP Systems: Familiarity with ERP systems for maintenance scheduling and tracking is essential.
