Set tools in machine locations accurately for setup and perform part changeovers, including program retrieval and input.
Establish work offsets (G54, G55, etc.) manually or using probing technology.
Read, understand, and reset CNC machine program codes.
Calculate and input axis coordinates (X, Y, and Z) for CNC machines up to 3 axes, or use a spindle probe to determine work offsets.
Use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) results to adjust work offsets.
Perform new setups on machines, including tool and fixture changes, offset adjustments, N/C tape loading, and first article verification.
Modify programs to correct errors or substitute cutting tools as needed.
Measure dimensions using tools and gauges to ensure compliance with specifications.
Assist M/S Operators with tooling, fixturing, or programming issues during size change setups.
Provide guidance, training, and support to M/S Operators I and II in machine operations, product quality, safety, and housekeeping. Report training progress to the Operations Supervisor.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
5-10 years of experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills in a manufacturing or operations environment, or equivalent education.
Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, optical comparators, and sine plates.
Ability to calculate tolerance zones from unilateral, bilateral, and geometrical tolerance callouts.
Understanding of numerical control programs and their effect on machine tool operations.
Skilled in operating conventional lathes, mills, and grinders, as well as sharpening basic cutting tools and drills.
