Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished goods using forklifts, hand trucks, and hoists.
- Prepare and stage materials for saw cutting and laser processing.
- Operate manual and CNC saws to cut materials to specified lengths.
- Perform routine saw maintenance, including blade changes, coolant refills, and chip removal.
- Conduct quality checks using calipers, squares, and tape measures.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workspace for material storage and inventory.
- Assist in cycle counting and inventory tracking for raw stock, tubing, bars, and angles.
- Use scanning equipment to track material movement and update inventory records.
- Adhere to safety protocols when manually handling materials up to 50 lbs. and operating lifting equipment for larger stock.
Working hours: 2:45 PM - 1:00 AM
Skills:
--Previous saw operating or CNC machining experience
--Knowledge of inventory control systems and material handling
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Attention to detail and ability to perform basic math calculations
- Comfortable using computers for data entry and inventory tracking
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a production environment
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Must pass pre-employment screening, including a drug test
- Ability to take measurements and work with a tape measure and calipers
