We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team at a restaurant in Arenac County, MI. As a Line Cook at our restaurant, you will be a crucial part of our kitchen operations, responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to our high standards. You will work efficiently and effectively on the line, ensuring timely and accurate execution of orders while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role requires the ability to multitask, follow recipes precisely, and work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This is a full-time opportunity with various hours and shifts. Previous experience as a Line Cook is required. Compensation is $16-18/hr depending on experience.

- Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Prepare menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines, ensuring consistency in taste and quality.
- Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, ovens, and saute stations.
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper holding and storage of all food items.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and portioning ingredients as needed.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff, including chefs, prep cooks, and dishwashers, to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Follow all safety procedures and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the kitchen manager.
- Assist with inventory management and inform the chef or kitchen manager of any low stock items.
- Properly label and date all food items to ensure freshness and prevent spoilage.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Skills:
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A positive attitude and an excellent work ethic.
- Passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Line Cook in a fast-paced casual dining restaurant environment.
- Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
- Excellent multitasking and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Solid understanding of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
- Knowledge of and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification preferred).
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50Lbs pounds.
