Spherion Staffing & Recruiting has a direct-hire opening for a Lead Maintenance Technician for our client located in Sumterville. This is a day shift position, hours may flex for production needs. The pay rate is $25 to $30 per hour depending on experience.

In this role, you'll use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including but not limited to plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources and mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Responsibilities:
-Performs preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs to production and mechanical equipment, machinery and components
-Determines causes of operating problems, consults schematics and orders replacement parts.
-Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical or electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, follows electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specification
-Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies production electronic components, parts, switch panels etc.
-May test new equipment and troubleshoot operation and make minor adjustments to equipment
-Maintains and completes all required records
-May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
-Performs complex repairs on production equipment and tools motors and mechanical components including basic pneumatics and hydraulics
-Performs basic troubleshooting on electrical equipment / 3 Phase / equipment up to 480v.
-Reads blueprints and schematics
-Complete PM maintenance and repairs on production equipment (Band Saw, Iron Worker, Burn Table, Welding Machines & Plasma Torches, Overhead Crane & Forklifts)
-Maintain the facilities (Lights & Fans)
-Follows all safety rules and practices
-Performs other duties as assigned

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Skills:
-Certifications are a plus.
-The ability to tack weld (Stik or MIG) for minor repairs is a plus.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-Experience troubleshooting and repairing Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and electrical up to 220 volts.
-Experience with heavy equipment (forklift).
-Experience with maintenance of CNC machine and related equipment.
