Responsibilities:
Review and correct insurance claims (electronic and paper) for billing accuracy, processing all claims daily.
Identify and report billing errors related to charging and coding to appropriate teams for resolution.
Manage reports associated with electronic billing and notify Patient Account Representatives of denials.
Rebills accounts returned by Patient Account Reps and handle unpaid secondary Medicare claims.
Analyze late charge/credit reports and take appropriate action.
Review payer documentation and attend seminars as needed.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 AM
Skills:
Medicare DDE
Meditech BAR or any hospital patient accounting system
Availity
Experience with electronic billing systems
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of medical billing experience
