We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Import Specialist to manage and oversee the importation of goods while ensuring compliance with customs regulations and trade laws. The Import Specialist will coordinate with suppliers, customs brokers, and government agencies to facilitate smooth international shipments, minimize delays, and optimize the supply chain process.

Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all imported goods comply with customs regulations, trade agreements, and company policies.
Documentation & Filing: Prepare and review import documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, customs declarations, and packing lists.
Tariff & Duty Classification: Assign proper Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes and calculate duties, taxes, and fees.
Customs Coordination: Work with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to clear shipments efficiently and resolve any issues or delays.
Freight & Logistics Management: Monitor shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Dispute Resolution: Address customs audits, tariff discrepancies, and compliance issues.
Reporting & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of import transactions and generate reports as needed.
Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in import laws, tariffs, and international trade policies.
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Skills:
HSD or GED
1 to 3 years experience working with U.S. Customs regulations
Great communication skills
