We are seeking for a highly motivated Logistics Coordinator is needed for a full-time, temporary-to-permanent role based in Carson, CA. This position plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the Distribution Center, supporting logistics functions such as shipment updates, inventory management, and vendor communications. Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate classification of goods using Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes.
Identify and resolve errors related to tariffs or import duties, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
Oversee and manage international shipments, including documentation and customs clearance processes.
Collaborate with logistics partners and vendors to track shipments and resolve delays or discrepancies.
Verify and submit vendor shipping documents to ensure timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
Maintain and update data in ERP systems such as NetSuite, WMS, or other inventory software.
Assist in managing the receiving process for bulk production shipments, verifying counts, and ensuring accuracy.
Support inventory control efforts by coordinating delivery schedules and monitoring stock levels.
Prepare and review documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with import regulations.
Issue and document credit memos, chargebacks, and other financial transactions as required.
Generate and maintain reports on shipping, inventory, and logistics performance.
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Ability to perform tasks requiring accuracy while seated or standing for extended periods.
Capacity to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds as needed.
Proficiency in operating standard office equipment such as computers and copy machines.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Proven experience in import logistics, tariff identification, and error resolution.
Excellent understanding of HTS codes, customs duties, and international trade regulations.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, WMS, Shopify, or ShipStation) and inventory management.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve errors in documentation or systems.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Familiarity with tools like FedEx Manager, Automated Customs Environment (ACE), or AES filing is a plus.
Basic Excel skills and a proactive approach to identifying process improvements.
