administration, HR processes, training, compliance, etc.) for a rapidly-growing medium-sized business portfolio. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a team member within the healthcare organization's existing footprint in North Carolina while expanding in other areas. He or she will successfully and collaboratively interact with all members of the healthcare, administrative, and operational team to help achieve practice and strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
Attends and participates in meetings, work groups, and team meetings.
Obtains a working knowledge of all company policies and procedures, ensuring that the employees understand the expectations by developing, recommending, and implementing personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains personnel policies handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness.
Oversees the recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt positions. May participate in screening, interviewing, and evaluating of candidates. Writes and places job advertisements; conducts reference checking; extends job offers.
Facilitates communication among employees and management by providing guidance and consultation regarding problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, litigation avoidance and strives to resolve internal conflict informally through appropriate conflict management and mediation techniques.
Oversees payroll administration, ensuring pay accuracy for all employees for the bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls.
Oversees benefits administration, including annual health/ancillary benefits selection and open enrollment, and accurate management of employee 401k program.
Maintains Human Resources Information System (ADP) records accuracy.
Implements and annually updates compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts salary surveys and develops merit pool (salary budget); analyzes compensation; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
Coordinates the Annual Performance Review process and offers guidance for Performance Improvement Plans throughout the review period.
Ensures that employee/personnel files are properly set up and maintained.
Maintains and processes all unemployment notices and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner.
Attends unemployment hearings as needed.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Office
Knowledge of payroll processing software(s)
Ability to deescalate employee HR issues

Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field, preferred, with 5 years of healthcare related experience.
Three (3)+ years of experience in healthcare operations/administration.
Two (2)+ years management experience, preferably in a medical office environment.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Agility to travel within Western North Carolina region.
