- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, ERISA, and HIPAA. Maintain accurate reporting and records, regularly reviewing and updating HR policies to align with our mission.- Safety: Manage Driver Qualification Files (insurance, physicals, licenses, registration), and oversee drug and alcohol testing, including random screenings. Maintain IFTA, UCR, and other tax and registration filings.- Recruiting: Lead full-cycle recruitment, collaborating with the Senior Director to define hiring needs. Conduct initial interviews, extend offers, and manage pre-start onboarding steps to ensure a smooth candidate experience.- Benefits: Stay current on laws and best practices to optimize benefits programs. Oversee leave policies (FMLA, STD, LTD, Parental), support benefit selection, and implement changes in coordination with the HR team.- Payroll: Manage employee payroll records and updates. Oversee payroll processing with third-party vendors, review payroll changes, and coordinate approvals with accounting.- Onboarding: Lead onboarding strategy and training, ensuring new hires understand our company values, policies, and structure. Coordinate with HR and hiring managers for tailored orientation plans.- Employee Development: Assist in designing and executing performance reviews, improvement plans, and training programs. Support managers with tools and guidance for effective feedback.- Employee Relations: Serve as a resource for employee concerns, resolving conflicts and conducting investigations as needed. - Bachelors degree, preferably in a relevant field.- 2+ years of HR experience, with a focus on compliance, recruiting, benefits, and employee engagement strongly preferred.
