Spherion is seeking a motivated and results-driven Salesperson to join the team of a heavy equipment company in Saginaw County, MI! This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with a salary base plus sales commission. This individual will play a key role in expanding the company's market presence within Michigan and beyond, leveraging industry knowledge and sales expertise to drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate has experience in the heavy equipment industry and a proven track record of achieving measurable sales success. Responsibilities:
Identify and research potential customers and contacts within Michigan and other states, eventually nation-wide.
Proactively engage in phone sales to establish and nurture customer relationships.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to target new business opportunities.
Attend trade shows in various cities across the country to engage with prospects and educate them on product features and capabilities.
Conduct product demonstrations, including transporting equipment with trailers when necessary (CDL preferred but not required).
Build and maintain exceptional relationships with dealers and customers to ensure long-term growth.
Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to overall company growth.
Analyze customer needs and provide tailored solutions to meet those requirements.
Travel within Michigan and periodically to other states for a few days at a time to expand business opportunities. Position responsibilities would start within the state of Michigan, however, will grow to include nationwide customer base.
Skills:
Availability for short-term travel, including attendance at trade shows.
Valid driver's license (CDL preferred).
Self-motivated, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Qualifications:
Proven sales experience, preferably in the heavy equipment industry.
Ability to perform consistent phone outreach to grow the business pipeline.
Demonstrated success in growing sales and contributing to the profitability of previous employers.
Proficiency in research, prospecting, and sales planning.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
