We are seeking a detail-oriented, resourceful, and highly motivated Grant Writer to support their fundraising and development efforts. The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government entities. Responsibilities:
Grant Research: Identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporations. Stay up to date with available funding programs, eligibility requirements, and deadlines.
Proposal Writing: Draft, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals that align with the organization?s mission and program goals. Ensure proposals are tailored to each funder?s guidelines and priorities.
Grant Reports: Prepare and submit timely progress reports, financial statements, and other required documentation to funders. Track and monitor grant-related activities and expenditures.
Collaboration: Work closely with program managers, finance staff, and leadership to gather information for proposals, reports, and other necessary documentation. Understand program goals and objectives to effectively communicate their impact.
Compliance: Ensure that all grant proposals and reports comply with funder requirements, regulations, and deadlines. Maintain accurate and organized records of grant submissions and results.
Database Management: Track and manage grant-related information using [grant management software or database name, if applicable]. Maintain an up-to-date record of all submitted proposals and outcomes.
Strategic Planning: Participate in the development of long-term fundraising strategies, providing insights and recommendations for improving grant-seeking efforts and diversifying funding sources.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred. Additional training or certification in grant writing is a plus.
