Responsibilities:
Safely operate a forklift for routine, established work.
Package parts according to work order instructions.
Band bundles per work order instructions to meet customer expectations.
Load, stage, and return to inventory any unused coils.
Empty scrap and slug hoppers daily.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work areas, including keeping the forklift clean, maintaining uncoiler areas, and keeping the back alley free of debris.
Check coolant at all mills daily and fill coolant tanks to the proper amount, if needed.
Make routine decisions and use problem-solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance.
Report and document basic material, production, and quality control issues.
Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.
Maintain inventory of wood and other consumable items used in packaging.
Operate heat gun to shrink wrap bundles.
Follow and stress the safe operation of all equipment and adhere to safety guidelines.
Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.
Be flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
Adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

Skills:
Experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing setting.
Previous experience in metal forming or related industry.
Encouraged to attend CRS class and gain ability to assist Mill Operators when required

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Basic knowledge and understanding of material handling, including all safety guidelines.
Competency in basic shop math.
Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours a day.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-50 lbs frequently.
Ability to squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp, and reach outward frequently.
Ability to work in a 65-88 degree Fahrenheit work environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment while wearing required protective equipmen
