The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, and stack products within the food processing facility. This role ensures that materials are transported safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. The Forklift Operator will work closely with the production and warehouse teams to support the timely flow of goods and products throughout the facility. - STARTING PAY: $22/HR
- 1ST SHIFT: 6AM-2:30PM
- BREAKS: Two 15min paid breaks, 1/2hr unpaid lunch.
- This is a 40hr/week position, but we're heading into peak season, so there will be mandatory OT (paid time and a half) of 50hrs/week thru Nov just in time to make more money before the holidays! In Dec hours will go back to 40/hrs/wk.

Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials.
- Safely move materials between storage areas, production lines, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Ensure accurate and efficient placement of materials in designated areas.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure proper functionality.
- Follow all safety protocols, including maintaining awareness of surroundings and ensuring the safety of other employees.
- Assist in inventory management by recording the movement of goods and updating stock records as necessary.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and production areas.
- Report any damaged goods, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Comply with all company policies, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.
Skills:
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Previous experience operating a forklift, preferably in a food processing or warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift and move products as needed (typically up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work in various conditions, including refrigerated environments and tight spaces.
- Able to be exposed to cold, wet, and noisy conditions in a food processing environment.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
