Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to daily, weekly, and monthly menus.
Ensure meals are visually appealing, nutritionally balanced, and tailored to meet the specific dietary needs of the residents.
Collaborate with dietary staff to create menus that are varied, seasonal, and consider residents' preferences and dietary restrictions.
Adapt and modify recipes as needed to meet specific dietary guidelines, including low-sodium, diabetic-friendly, and gluten-free options.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen in compliance with health and safety standards.
Follow ServSafe guidelines, ensuring food is stored, prepared, and served at proper temperatures to prevent contamination.
Regularly inspect kitchen and storage areas to maintain high standards of hygiene.
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies and ingredients as needed.
Track and minimize food waste through efficient use of ingredients.
Work closely with dietary and nursing staff to ensure meals meet health guidelines and enhance the overall well-being of residents.
