This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and servicing floor cleaning and maintenance equipment used in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. The technician ensures that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and meets the company's quality standards. The Technician will also promote and sell flooring equipment to businesses and organizations in need of floor care solutions. This includes a variety of equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, extractors, and other floor maintenance machinery.
Salary $50-70k DOE
Responsibilities:
Installation & Setup:
-Install and set up new flooring equipment, including scrubbers, buffers, extractors, and vacuums at customer locations
-Ensure proper training is provided for customers on the correct use of equipment
Maintenance & Repairs:
-Perform routine preventive maintenance on flooring equipment to ensure long-term functionality
-Diagnose and repair malfunctions or defects in machines such as electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
-Use diagnostic tools and techniques to troubleshoot issues with flooring equipment, identifying causes of failure or underperformance, and implementing effective solutions
Parts & Inventory Management:
-Manage and maintain an inventory of parts and tools required for repairs
-Ensure that necessary parts are ordered in advance and available for scheduled maintenance or emergency repairs
Sales & Product Promotion:
-Actively sell and promote the company's range of flooring equipment to new and existing customers
-Identify customer needs and recommend the best products to meet those needs
Customer Relationship Management:
-Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients
-Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills:
-Previous experience in equipment repair and maintenance, ideally in flooring equipment or a related field preferred
-Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment is highly desirable
-Certifications in equipment maintenance or repair (e.g., factory training certifications) are a plus
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
-Ability to diagnose and repair problems with various floor care machines and equipment
-A valid driver's license and the ability to drive service vehicles to customer sites
