The Floor Operator (Cheese Line Operator), utilizing various pieces of equipment and under the direction of the Production Supervisor, will have the opportunity to package cheese into 680lb blocks or 40lb boxes (weights vary and could be more) meeting or exceeding company and customer quality specifications.

- Works in a safe manner following all required safety procedures including but not limited to wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Works as part of a team packaging cheese into 680lb blocks or 40lb boxes (weights vary and could be more) rotating through various specific aspects of the process.
- Effectively operates equipment including cheese towers, cheese collator, box making machine, vacuum chambers, box inverter, banding machine, etc.
- Keeps pace with product flow through the cheese line to maintain expected product rate and quality.
- Ensures product meets or exceeds quality standards (which includes but are not limited to): free from foreign objects, metal detection expectations are met, visual inspection of product.
- Properly follows standard operating procedures for both production and sanitation activities.
- Effectively and efficiently organizes and maintains stock supplies and equipment needed for shift and restocks for the next shift.
- Keeps work area clean throughout the shift and to prepare for the next shift.
- Ensures that accurate production records are kept and maintained including but not limited to charts, production and sanitation logs, weight tags, etc.
- Reviews daily production schedules to ensure correct product codes are utilized.
Working hours: 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM
Skills:
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but willing to train.

Qualifications:
- Ability to learn and follow SQF, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HAACP), GMP???s and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to read and write and possess mathematical and weight measurement skills.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to set up equipment, adjust settings and make mechanical assessments.
- Must be able to work effectively in a multi-tasking detail-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to foster and support a Team environment through good interpersonal skills.
